While walking along one of my regular exercise routes some months ago I found the markings of a person who is, I believe, of good intention and inclination. I pass this scribbling in an exercise-induced high, dreaming of my stories while walking and jogging near my home .The message tagged in white is straightforward. The yellow likely existed first,. The letters KGS, I believe these are an abbreviation for Kansas Gas Service. There are natural gas lines nearby; it seems a logical assumption. Perhaps the reactionary scrawling was in response to the yellow, both denotative and connotative. A cautionary warning, encouraging the unshackling of minds from straight-line thinking, the rutted status quo, AND to guard against fear (yellow's connotation). I like to think so anyway. And, thus, of course, it is.
