I probably heard this song a couple of times before it clicked for me. I deprived myself. The song changes at about 1:56 into the song. The transition has this sound. It feels a bit like that classic 70s Southern rock sound. There is a softness to the melody and lyrics.

Then it soars into a progressive rock sound ... and then that lyric kicks in.

I am not sure exactly what it is about that one specific lyric. Its probably many things. One reason that lyric resonates with me is because I grew up in wide open spaces. Wide open spaces allowing me to simultaneously think big and dream while recognizing my relative insignificance in the broader cosmic scheme of things.

The lyrics just flow after this point. I feel like I am standing under a waterfall when I hear this song. Which is likely the reason I have listened to it so many times this week. Give it a go. In fact, listen to it a couple of times. It is fast becoming one of my favorite pieces of music.

RUSH is my all time favorite band. The progressive [rock] nature of both music and lyric speaks to me for some reason. I like other music but I always come back to RUSH for my foundation and comfort zone. Many people feel their music is too complicated. I find it quite soothing. I like the exploration of it. It always seems to make me think or feel something a little different. As a result, I never quite get to the end of it. It allows for constant exploration, a permanent journey if you will.
